- We are a Coast Guard family living in Kodiak, AK. John & Jade met in Columbus, MS at a Leadership conference January 2005. We dated on and off until March 28, 2006 when we finally said "I DO." That May, we became a Coast Guard family when John went to Boot Camp. After Boot Camp, we moved to Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach, NC. Then a few shorts months later we moved to Petaluma, CA for John to attend ET A-School. While John was in A-school, Jade flew back home to Mississippi to have our little miracle, Hydie Grace! In February of 2008, Hydie and Jade flew to Kodiak, Alaska to join John for a 3 year tour. On October 25, 2009 God blessed us with another little miracle, Carter Lindley.
